Math Associate degree from NVCC, GPA of 3.9; previous BA in liberal arts so all of my gen ed classes were fufilled. The department is small and majors are few so with average grades I think getting into the program should not be a problem.

For the Earth Science/Geology BS at GMU, I highly recommend taking your year of calc, physics, chem and intro to geology I and II at NVCC first - too many of the GMU math professors are poor instructors, and you may find yourself spending 2 semesters trying to pass calc. College Physics (algebra based) is fine here as well as chem. But if these are your weak classes and you don't wan your GPA affected when you start at GMU, take the above classes at a community college.

Fairly easy for me I had a 3.6 GPA, but average ACT/SAT scores. You should have a 3.3 GPA and a 1100 on your SAT to get in, try to have some extra stuff to make yourself stick out.
